Wildlife Project

Date

April 2024

Role

My role in the wildlife project has evolved over time. I initially focused on gathering GIS data for 19 counties considered for the project. As we delved deeper into the details, I began managing the timeline alongside my faculty supervisor. I also assisted with community outreach, camera deployment, and the implementation of AI Wildlife Insights, which has significantly enhanced our project’s efficiency. Throughout the academic year, I’m responsible for maintaining progress, wrapping up summer data, and organizing for fall and winter deployments. Additionally, I will serve as the primary contact for students developing research projects to present in the spring.

Welcome to the Wildlife Project, focused on surveying the wildlife in the area using camera traps. This project is in its first year and will eventually result in a comprehensive study. My responsibilities are to manage the timeline, resources, and tasks required to set up our team to successfully retrieve thoughtful and accurate data and interpretations.
