Attending a conference as a student one year and as a mentor the next year gave me time to reflect deeper on the research process and better understanding of the stories we create through research. Dr. Charles Kevin Geedey, Dr. Michael Reisner, Dr. Brittany McCall, and I participated in the Mississippi River Research Consortium together with the students mentioned below. I was responsible for organizing the timeline for research data collection and providing guidance on poster creation throughout the academic year. Collaborating with these students, we established a timeline for developing posters and determining key areas of focus. Both faculty and students worked diligently to enhance their research efforts.
